The WESTKAB eBook shop has not launched yet. No orders or payments are currently accepted. These terms describe the planned digital offer and apply when a purchase becomes available.
1. WESTKAB and Paddle
WESTKAB is operated by Esther Biegemeier, sole trader, Wandsbeker Chaussee 151, 22089 Hamburg, Germany. Email: space@westkab.com. WESTKAB supplies the book content, personalisation and product support.
For purchases made through Paddle, Paddle is the authorised reseller and merchant of record, responsible for the sale, payment processing, applicable sales taxes and transaction receipt. Your seller is the Paddle entity identified during checkout and in the transaction confirmation. The purchase is subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms. These WESTKAB terms govern your use of our digital books and our related services; they do not replace Paddle’s purchase terms or restrict mandatory consumer rights.
2. Products and language
The product page identifies the title, language, included formats and price. Unless stated otherwise, one purchase includes the PDF and EPUB editions of the same book. English and German editions are separate products; purchasing one language does not include the other. A digital purchase does not include a printed book.
3. Price and ordering
The planned price of the “Before You Sleep” digital bundle is €9.90 including German VAT. Tax-inclusive prices in other countries may differ. The final total, currency, taxes and available payment methods are shown before you place a paid order. This is a one-time purchase, with no subscription or recurring charge.
Once checkout is available, you can review and correct your order details before submitting a paid order. The contract with Paddle is formed in accordance with its Buyer Terms and checkout confirmation. An announcement or “Coming soon” page cannot be used to place an order.
4. Delivery and technical requirements
After successful payment and confirmation, WESTKAB will generate the personalised files and provide access through download links. Processing may take a short time. Any different delivery date will be stated before purchase. You need internet access to download the files, sufficient storage, a PDF reader and an EPUB-compatible reading app or device. Layout and available reading features may vary between applications. Compatibility with a specific device is not promised unless expressly stated on the product page.
If a download is missing, corrupted or inaccessible, contact WESTKAB with your order reference. We will help restore access or provide a working file; your statutory remedies remain available. Save a personal backup of your downloaded files.
5. Personalisation and permitted use
The files contain a personal licence notice using the buyer’s name, email address and purchase date. Personalisation does not by itself remove withdrawal or defect rights. Details of data processing are set out in our Privacy policy.
You receive a non-exclusive licence for your own personal, non-commercial reading. You may keep personal backups and print a copy for your own use. Copyright remains with its rights holders. You may not resell, publicly upload or distribute the files, share download links with others, or remove licence notices to facilitate unauthorised distribution. Uses allowed by mandatory law remain permitted.
6. Withdrawal, refunds and defects
Our Withdrawal and refund policy explains how to request withdrawal, refunds or help with defective files. Statutory rights relating to non-delivery, defective or misdescribed digital content remain unaffected. Nothing here excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Amazon paperback editions
Where an Amazon link is shown, paperback editions are sold separately through Amazon. The price and availability shown by Amazon apply. Amazon purchases are not processed by Paddle or included in the digital bundle; the seller’s terms and return procedures apply.
8. Applicable terms and contact
The version presented at the time of purchase applies to that purchase; later changes do not automatically alter it. German law applies to the relationship between WESTKAB and the buyer without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of habitual residence.
